
Regional Office
The Regional Offices of the Guatemalan Institute of Tourism coordinate various tourism activities and efficiently manage INGUAT’s public functions, expanding services to different tourist regions of the country. This benefits both national and international visitors as well as tourism businesses and services.
Regional offices are composed of a regional or subregional delegate who supports and coordinates different activities to foster, develop, and promote tourism across the country’s regions. They also include the Tourist Assistance Program Unit (PROATUR), the Registration and Verification of Tourism Services unit, and the national tourism information delegation, which directly assists national and international tourists.
Tourist Information Office
he information delegation is responsible for providing visitors with information, guidance, and assistance regarding tourism services and attractions across the country and within their specific region. Their goal is to facilitate tourists’ stay and mobility. Additionally, they support local tourism businesses with various administrative procedures required by INGUAT.
